EDLOCATE Study Abroad Day
The EDLOCATE organized the “EDLOCATE Study Abroad Day” on 24th January 2026 from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the Arts Seminar Hall.
The programme was conducted with the objective of providing students and staff members with guidance and information on international higher education opportunities, overseas study pathways, and student support services.
The event featured experienced professionals from EDLOCATE who provided personalized counselling and guidance to participants through one-to-one sessions. The resource persons for the programme were:
- Sumudu Dissanayake – Director of Operations
- Priyanthy Pratheepan – Senior Manager – Operations and Student Counsellor
- Rashmi Sulakshana – Senior Assistant Manager Operations
- Luxshika Sivakadacham – Student Counsellor Assistant
The programme mainly focused on one-to-one counselling sessions, where participants received individual guidance regarding study abroad opportunities, university selection, application procedures, scholarship opportunities, visa processes, and career-oriented educational pathways.
A total of 27 students and staff members participated in the programme and benefited from the personalized consultations and information-sharing sessions conducted throughout the day.
The programme served as a valuable platform for participants to explore international education opportunities and gain a clearer understanding of study abroad processes and career development pathways.
