Champions Skills Development Programme Batch VII, Phase III – Day 04

The Otthulaippu organized the “Champions Skills Development Programme Batch VII, Phase III – Day 04” on 08th February 2026 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Physics Mini Auditorium for first-year students of the Faculty of Arts.

The programme was conducted with the objective of enhancing students’ spoken English skills, confidence, and communication abilities through interactive and participatory learning methods.

The resource person for the programme was Pramila Jegadeesan, Human Resources Inner Shift Coach from Chennai. She facilitated an interactive Conversation Club session designed to improve students’ fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in English communication.

During the session, students actively participated in group discussions, dialogue practice, and speaking activities that encouraged spontaneous communication and reduced hesitation in public speaking. The programme also emphasized active listening, peer interaction, and effective expression of ideas in English.

A total of 43 first-year students from the Faculty of Arts actively participated in the programme and engaged enthusiastically in all conversational activities conducted during the session.

The programme served as a valuable platform for students to develop their communication confidence and enhance their English-speaking skills for academic and professional purposes.
