DESCRIPTION:A courtesy meeting was held from 08:30 AM to 09:00 AM at the Mini Board Room of the Vice Chancellor’s Office\, University of Jaffna. The session took place at the Vice Chancellor’s Office. The meeting was attended by officials from the U.S. Embassy Sri Lanka\, including Ms. Menaka Nayyar – Public Affairs Officer\, U.S. Embassy Sri Lanka\, Mr. Nowzad A Jabbar – Director\, American Spaces Sri Lanka\, U.S. Embassy Sri Lanka\, and Ms. Miquela Burke – Regional Public Engagement Specialist.\n\n\n\nRepresenting the University were Snr. Prof. T. Velnampy – Vice Chancellor\, Ms. Sivagowri Rajashanthan – Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language Teaching\, Director\, Centre for Gender Equity and Equality & IVLP Alumna\, Ms. Kosalai Mathan – Senior Lecturer & Head of the Department of Law & IVLP Alumna\, Prof. M. Siyamalan – Director\, Career Guidance Unit\, Mr. K. Gauthaman – Career Guidance Counselor\, Prof. K. Pakeerathan – Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Director of University Business Linkage\, and Mr. S. AnuRakavan – Manager of University Business Linkage.\n\n\n\nThe meeting provided an opportunity for cordial discussions\, strengthening collaboration between the University and the U.S. Embassy while reinforcing shared interests in academic engagement\, student development\, and international cooperation.
