Career Fair 2025 – Faculty of Science, University of Jaffna

As you are aware, the Faculty of Science has a strong track record of producing competent and skilled graduates. It offers Bachelor of Science degree programmes of either three-year or four-year duration, designed to provide students with a sound knowledge base in both pure and applied sciences, along with comprehensive skills development components. Over the past five decades, the faculty has continued to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and student development.

The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Jaffna, in collaboration with the Career Guidance Cell of the Faculty of Science, is organising a Career Fair exclusively for students of the Faculty of Science on 29th July 2025.

This event aims to:

  • Connect students with potential employers
    Foster collaboration between industry and academia
    Support students in their career development
    Help students explore opportunities for higher studies
    Enable employers to identify promising future employees
  • The Faculty of Science currently has over 350 final-year students who are expected to complete either a three-year BSc degree or a four-year BSc Honours degree soon. These students represent a wide range of academic disciplines, including: Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Fisheries Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, and Zoology.

These competencies are further enhanced by active engagement in research, advisory and support services, and a wide array of extracurricular activities across cultural, social, and sporting domains.
