The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Jaffna organized the “Competitive Exams Preparation – Lecture Series” on 21st January 2026 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the Library Auditorium.
The programme was conducted for students from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science with the objective of improving students’ competencies and preparedness for competitive examinations.
The resource person for the session was A. K. Keerthirajan, Development Officer at the Divisional Secretariat – Nallur, who delivered an informative lecture on Comprehension. The session focused on improving reading, understanding, and analytical skills required for competitive examinations. Students were introduced to effective comprehension techniques, time management strategies, and methods to answer examination questions accurately and efficiently.
A total of 22 students from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science participated in the programme and actively engaged in the discussions and learning activities conducted during the session.
The lecture series provided a valuable learning opportunity for students to strengthen their examination skills and enhance their confidence in facing future competitive examinations.
